Here's one of Elle's shirts that she wore last summer. I love the bright colors and flowers.
I decided to turn it into my clothespin bag for my laundry line. I think it turned out great - I don't know how long it'll last before fading - but for now, it makes me smile when I look out!!
Some of the local farm markets and road-side stands sell little Amish-dress clothespin bags, but I hadn't seen any this year. I started searching on the internet for some ideas. One site suggested using a toddler dress to make one. I searched through last year's clothing and came upon this shirt - Elle always looked so cute in it.

Ah! That's fabulous! I remember you talking about this at Roots.
How neat! I would have never thought of doing that!
I have seen the little Amish ones you are talking about. They are sold around here. However, I like your idea better because of the memories attached.
I would love to know how you did the header on your blog. It is darling!!
What a cute way to prolong the enjoyment of a favorite piece of a little one's clothing! It brightens up the clothesline and the task.

Oh...that's soooooooo cute. I would have had a hard time turning the dress in to a clothespin holder in the first place.
Another genius idea.
What a cute idea! Good Job!
Makes me miss having a clothes line. I had a neat bag back in the day and I forgot all about it until seeing this post. Leave it to my smart and crafty friend to come up with such a cool idea.
That is the cutest! Sorry, though, it does not make me want a clothes line. Nope, did that enough as a child! I wouldn't mind having a cute bag like that--but I would use it for something else! :-)
Oh so sweet. How crafty you are girl. Love the idea. I don't use a clothes line, but would love one of those bags.
Great idea.
Thanks for sharing and have a blessed weekend.

What a sweet idea! And I loved the new portraits of you and the kiddos too!
What a creative idea! I used to have a purchased clothespin bag, but it is worn out. I'll have to look through E's clothing. Thanks for the helpful hint!
