Its still Christmas in July!

I didn't say a word in the house yesterday about my post mentioning Christmas. But, I did have to chuckle when I put Quintin to bed and he asked me to sing, "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" for his goodnight song. Maybe he's sensing how close Christmas is too? ;-)

Last night, T and I went out (yes, by ourselves-woohoo) to get some chicken wings - it was Wed afterall! A full belly of wings and pepsi, and I'm still up at midnight! Today could be a doozy!

After we got home, I made a surprise call to Tracy. She was fun to talk to and it felt like we've talked many times before. Tracy - I'm glad I was able to bring some joy to your LONG week. :D So, did I have an accent?!?!

You know, blogging has brought some really fun people into my life. Sunday it'll be 6 months since I've started blogging. And, each day, I am amazed at the friendships that have been created.

The connections with:
  • like-minded women
  • Christian women
  • homeschool moms
  • moms with children the same ages
  • older moms with much wisdom to share
  • younger moms
  • women who live close
  • women who live far away
  • short women
  • tall women
  • ok, you get my point! (hopefully, I didn't leave anyone out)
Each of you have blessed me in ways I can't explain, but I want you to know I appreciate each and everyone of you.

I think the wings and pepsi are making me sappy. That and the fact that its now 12:30.
I'm off to bed! Thank you and good night!

Well look at me. I'm the first one to post.

How very nice of you to call Tracy. How very funny of Quintin to sing a Christmas carol.

You've only been bloging for 6 months? Wowza. You've had your counter for almost 5 months and you've had 9,500 hits. That's the big time. ;)

I'm glad you blog. I'm glad you're you. There should be more You's in this world.

Well, I've only been blogging for about a month and I'm amazed at the women I've met.

I notice that you homeschool. We just made the decision yesterday to homeschool my daughter (who's in high school). This is new territory for us. So, say a prayer of two.

I was thinking about calling you last night. Good thing I didn't cuz I would have thought you put me on the "blocked call list" if you were busy chatting with Tracy :) Hope you two had a great chat!

Next week I take my blogging break. Do you think I'll go through withdrawl? I'll have my computer, but I'm not blogging.

I feel the same way, Leigh Ann. Everyone in Blogland is so dear to me. I find that these relationships are every bit as real as the friends I see on a regular basis. I pray for you all, etc.

Ohhhh, chicken wings and Pepsi! Yummy!
