My next project

I've decided a need a new knitting project so that I can force myself to sit down in the playroom when the children are playing. And, I've found it, it is a Prayer Shawl. I found the pattern at the Lion Brand Yarn website.

What is a Prayer Shawl? Throughout the ages, shawls have come to symbolize shelter, peace and spiritual sustenance. Knit Version: Cast on 63 stitches or any multiple of three, such as 54, 57, or 60.First row Knit 3, purl 3 to the end of the row.Repeated row Turn and knit the purl stitches and purl the knit stitches. Work about 2½ skeins in this pattern. Use the rest of the yarn for fringe, which can be from 3 inches to 9 inches long. Knot the ends of the fringes to keep the yarn from frizzing.
