Waiting on pins and needles

If you think that title has to do with the giveaways, scroll down to the post below - BUT AFTER you read this very important announcement - which I know you were all waiting on pins and needles for!

Phil Says Six More Weeks of Winter!

Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/08 at sunrise at Gobbler's Knob:

Here Ye! Here Ye! Here Ye!

On Gobbler's Knob on this fabolous Groundhog Day, February 2nd, 2008, Punxsutawney Phil, the Seer of Seers, Prognosticator of all Prognosticators, Rose to the call of President Bill Cooper and greeted his handlers, Ben Hughes and John Griffiths.
After casting a weathered eye toward thousands of his faithful followers, Phil consulted with President Cooper and directed him to the appropriate scroll, which proclaimed:

"As I look around me, a bright sky I see, and a shadow beside me.Six more weeks of winter it will be!"

BLECH!

Its cloudy where I am - no sun peeking through here and I'm not that far away. But far enough away for Phil's sake! HA!

I love cold weather so it's okay :o)! (as long as there are no more ice storms that break all my trees & take away my electricity for eight days!!! YIKES)

Hope you have a great great weekend!!

I just noticed you are currently reading Hinds Feet On High Places. One of my favorite books!!! I've read it 3 times. I also have her Walking Among the Unseen and Mountains of Spices. They are good but not as good as Hinds Feet, in my opinion.

I am currently reading Anne Graham Lotz My Heart's Cry - Longing for more of Jesus. She has a beautiful style of writing.

Tell C & E I'm still smiling :o)

I was really looking forward to Spring. Well, maybe he is wrong. I sure hope so. I am ready for the sunshine and mild days and leaves to return to the trees. Have a good weekend, Leigh Ann. connie from Texas

Just read Susan's comment. I know you told me you were reading this book. Guess what? We have this book right in my house. Who knew? Alicia owns it. I think I've found my newest read.

Phil OBVIOUSLY doesn't live in Texas. I just noticed this evening at 10pm it was 71 degrees outside. Ugh...I could actually use a little cooler weather down here!! LOL

Since it was on Saturday this year, I didn't hear too much about it. Ugh. I hope you all see some sun soon.

Hugs,

Oh yeah! I forgot I was waiting on pins and needles.

Sorry for the bad news. Was this (strike)rat(strike) groundhog right last year??

What's his record for accuracy?
