Fire Ring Fun

We've been wanting to add a fire ring to our backyard all summer.  We talked about all kinds of options of fire rings - building one with stone, buying a metal ring ... we finally settled on using old tractor rims - soldering a whole one and a half together and we have the perfect ring.  It's perfect because we can roll it into the woods in winter so as not to cause any catastrophes when sledding!  And, with its aged appearance, the rusted out parts provide perfect air circulation!

The most important thing learned though, was to keep an eye on the marshmallows - remember?

Now the only thing you could have done to make it more perfect, is made it out of cement mixer rims:)

Yup, it's just so fun. We don't even have the little ones to entertain us, but we sure love just hanging out by the pit. Our will be improved next summer, but for this season we enjoyed our little bricks in a ring :) Glad you're having fun, too.
